Old Town Residence, Virginia

Threading a clean, precision demanding addition and renovation through an early 19th century house makes for interesting collisions. Deep in the historic district of Alexandria Virginia, this project included a new kitchen, dining and family room within the brick walls of former stables and two story outbuilding. Many walls and floors were reconfigured to create generous and unexpected spaces that play off of the vintage origins of this house.
