Sears House Expansion, Washington, DC

Originally built from a Sears and Roebuck house kit, these clients needed more space than this model house had to offer. A two story addition was added to the rear of the house to create a new kitchen and dining spaces as well as two new bedrooms on the second floor. The detailing of the work was intended to be sympathetic to the original house while introducing contemporary elements.
